Standard Guru Malaysia (SGM 2.0) is a document that outlines the professional competence that should be achieved by teachers, and the requirements that should be provided by teacher training agencies and institutions to help teachers achieve the set level of competence.
The Malaysian Ministry of Education (KPM) published the Malaysian Teacher Standard (SGM) in 2009.
MoE took the initiative to review the SGM and produce the Malaysian Teacher Standard 2.0 (SGM 2.0) based on the Southeast Asia Teacher Competency Framework (SEA-TCF).
