To respond to the transformations reshaping societies and economies, the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation opens the lineup of events for 2026 and 2027: Stagione Senza Permesso is “a proposal of research, dissemination and public programming, a call to speak up and to take a stand.”
To the forms of authoritarian government, to the restriction of spaces for dissent, to wars as a political instrument, there is added the inexorable advance of the climate crisis and artificial intelligence, which seems to alter not only the way we work but also the way we think.
Precisely to counter the risk of “feeling powerless spectators,” the Foundation launches a call to “disturb without waiting for someone to grant permission.”
Among the season’s protagonists are writers, authors and intellectuals such as Pierre Charbonnier, Lea Ypi, Emanuele Felice, Giorgia Serughetti, Luciano Fasano, Alessandro Roncaglia, James Galbraith, Mario Pianta, Donald Sassoon, Mauro Magatti, Cecilia Rikap, Burhan Sonmez, Adolfo Ceretti, Joan Subirats, Cédric Durand, Tomaso Montanari, Judith Butler, Gary Rivlin, Chris Smalls, Olga Tokarczuk, Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor and many others.

The Foundation’s new season events
Among the events of Stagione senza permesso is Intellectuals for the City (October 6), in homage to Salvatore Veca; between the 9th and 10th will take place the third Festival of Critical Economics, The Private Is Political – Territories and Enterprises: Progress or Decline?, curated by Emanuele Felice; on November 6 and 7, in Bologna, there will be the eighth Jobless Society Forum (2026 edition), entitled Smart Work, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence.
Subsequently, on December 2 and 3 there will be the Left Summit, a European initiative revolving around a question: “Can the Left still reclaim the ambition to change society?” (and here the 60th Annual of the Feltrinelli Foundation will be presented, Questione di classe). Then, on the 14th of the month, the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Foundation’s new home on Viale Pasubio will be celebrated with Navigare il presente – Ten words for ten years of the world.
From January to April 2027, four meetings titled What a Story, Milan! – The City, the People, the Ideas will be held to spark a debate ahead of the municipal elections; on February 9 there will be an evening dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini, while in March the festival Around a City 2027 will be organized, curated by Alessandro Balducci. On March 24, in its fifth edition, Peace is Revolution the Inge Feltrinelli Prize will be awarded; between April 16 and 18 the Festival of the Resistance 2027 will take place.
Furthermore, for the 2026-2027 school year, programs will be offered for students and teachers of lower and upper secondary schools to develop an informed citizenship, through the platform School of European Citizenship.
