Why Lythrum Press Exists
Lythrum Press began with a simple frustration: too many books were being reduced to ratings, blurbs and passing reactions. I wanted to create a place where reading could slow down again, where a novel, an essay, a memoir or a work of criticism could be treated not as content to consume, but as a conversation to enter.
Based in Sydney, Lythrum Press is an independent literary publication dedicated to books, authors and the culture that surrounds reading. We publish reviews, reading notes, literary news, author-focused pieces and essays on the ideas moving through contemporary writing.
