Chapter no 18

How to Keep House While Drowning

when you donโ€™t have kids

can I tell you a something about having kids? While it did create more mess than I had before and it does make completing tasks

more difficult at times, in some ways having kids actually made care tasks easier for me. Caring for kids naturally necessitates having a schedule. They wake up at a certain time, eat at a certain time, nap at a certain time, and go to bed at a certain time. I genuinely donโ€™t know how I would motivate myself to do closing duties every night if I didnโ€™t already have the forced routine of putting kids to bed at 7:00 pm. Thatโ€™s really the reason I find myself on my feet every night at

the same time and why itโ€™s easy for me to roll right into closing duties.

My point is that having kids doesnโ€™t make care tasks easier or harder; it just makes them different. I was messy far before I ever had kids. I struggled to get dishes done as a single and childless

person for my whole life.ย You do not need to have children for your struggles with care tasks to be valid.ย You are welcome here.
