‌Epilogue‌

Heart of Desire

GRAYSON

“Ouch!” She grips my arm as I laugh. “You said you would be fine!”

Pain flashed through Adrianna’s eyes as she lifted her hips

from the tattoo bed, “I am fine!” She voices.

I roll my eyes at her obvious lies, “How’s it looking over there Neil?”

Neil looks up, “Stop bothering me, Prince. Then, maybe we can finally get this done.”

I bend over Adrianna’s bed, so she could look at me upside down, “You look gorgeous, Dove.” I let a kiss fall on her forehead as she closed her eyes.

“You guys are fucking crazy.” Neil says as my eyes turn to his. “You made sure it’s mine?” I ask with a crinkled eyebrow.

“I’m pretty sure when you asked me to get your fingerprints tattooed on your girlfriend’s waist, I would make sure I wouldn’t mess that up.”

I walk up next to him, “You better not have.”

He pushes me off playfully as the whole group walks in the room, “How’s she doing?” Margo asks with her fiancé’s arm wrapped around her shoulder.

“Adrianna has a strict no talking rule when she’s on the bed.” I say as Margo nods towards me.

“She’s dying, isn’t she?” Verina adds as we all turn to Adrianna pulling up her middle finger to all of us.

Liam walks in, taking off his jacket, “Only you two would ever get tattoos as crazy as these.” He points to my chest, the part right above my heart laid a tattoo of Adrianna’s lipstick kiss stain.

“Isn’t your dove tattoo and her crown tattoo good enough to show that you two are in love?” Liam adds.

I smile, “She’s mine,” I shrug playfully, “What can I say?”

Adrianna crossed her arms in front of her, knowing full well that she would be receiving a full punishment for that later.

“How much is this again Neil?” I asked him.

He thinks for a minute, “Two grand.” He said with no emotion as I nodded, looking for my wallet.

Liam spots it on the table, my eyes widen as he picks it up, “No worries.

I found it. Two grand he said?”

“Liam don’t—” I warn him before he shuts the wallet with a disgusting face, throwing it at me, whilst covering his eyes.

“Oh my god! You are sick sick SICK individuals.” He yells as Margo laughs.

“What is it?” She asks as Liam takes a seat, making Juliette move away from her seat.

“You don’t want to know.” Liam says.

I take my wallet, “My wallet has a picture of my girlfriend in her lingerie on display for my pleasure.” I say as Adrianna laughs at her brother’s bad luck.

“Maybe that’s a sign to never touch my wallet, you wing nut.” I voice as Chris walks in with a big brown bag of take out.

“I got the food!” He places it down on the table only to be greeted by Liam’s shamed face.

“What happened?” He asks as everyone laughs, “Grayson and my

sister’s awful relationship that’s what happened.”

I roll my eyes at him, “You don’t even know the half of it.” His eyes widen, hands covering his eyes, screaming.

Margo laughs, “He doesn’t know about the ring attached to your necklace, does he?” She smirks cheekily as I shake my head.

Neil’s buzzing ends as Adrianna sits up with a bandage on her waist, I look over to her angelic figure and stunning eyes.

“You good, Dove?”

“Better than Liam will ever be after that disaster.” She laughs at the group, as Liam takes his hands off his ears.

Neil walks over to the small, short table, setting all the food out for the group to devour.

Everyone gathered around to eat, while Margo’s fiancé had to leave for a business meeting as she sat next to Liam who looked at her longingly.

Chris sat across from Verina who by the looks of it would not give up until she captured his attention. But every time her eyes would steer away from him, his were always on her.

Neil sat away from Juliette who set her book down to enjoy with a lunch.

And I sat next to Adrianna whose face lit up when she saw a cereal box with the maze on the back. She makes a remark, “You know, not one cereal cartoon is a girl.”

We all looked around to each other, thinking about a rebuttal or even another argument to refute her statement but evidently, she was correct.

“How about the pebble ones?” Chris asks. She shakes her head, “No, he was a man.”

“We should create our own cereal brand.” I add as she smiles at me. “And make a cartoon woman as the mascot?”

I make a confused ridden face, “Why would I do that? If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” I laugh as she pushes me to fall over, only I took her down with me.

“Go to hell.” She whispers, pinching me slightly.

“Are you asking me on a date? Because if you are, I would only say no in a country where there’s a cereal cartoon mascot who’s a girl.” I wrap my arms around her, as her hand rests on my cheek.

She tries not to laugh and opts to kiss me instead.

Liam audibly gags again as I take my other arm away from Adrianna to flip him off.

With all the people who surrounded me, I was in a state of equilibrium.

I wasn’t home, but it certainly felt like it.

THE END.
