November 28–29 at Bookcity Milano: 3rd Edition of BFF – Books Friends Forever Program

28 October 2026

Following the growing success of the first two editions (about 5,000 attendees last year), on the occasion of Bookcity Milano 2026, Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29 Books Friends Forever returns to BASE Milano with an even broader offering.

Open to the discovery of new literary universes

Between bookclubs, reading parties, book parties, creative workshops and meetings followed by long signings, Books Friends Forever presents itself as a pathway to deepen one’s passions and, at the same time, to open up to the discovery of new literary universes.

On the BFF stage will stand authors, creators, and artists who are very diverse from one another: one of the distinctive features of the initiative is the promotion of the plurality of reading tastes. Through original formats, which involve audience participation, BFF thus presents itself as an opportunity, open to everyone, designed to go beyond screens and to valorize in-person experiences.

For this third edition as well, participants will have available, in addition to various gadgets, a bookish space and a photo booth area for selfies, videos and live content. There will also be zones dedicated to reading and to relaxation, together with a lounge area reserved for parents and companions.

The Daphne Library Book Party
A special afternoon of themed games, with Megi Bulla, a content creator and curator of the series named after her project, The Daphne Library

From TikTok to library shelves: Megi Bulla celebrates three years of her publishing project, The Daphne Library (in collaboration with Rizzoli), and does so by directly involving readers. On the occasion of the third edition of BFF, the audience will first be invited to anonymously submit a question for Megi (about fantasy, romance, or reading in general, or more specifically about the releases and behind-the-scenes of the imprint), which she will answer as many questions as possible. Afterwards, event participants will be divided into groups to take part in a series of themed games designed by the creator herself. Before the final signing, the imprint’s curator will make a preview announcement…

What will tomorrow’s romance look like?
Four authors imagine the evolution of one of the most beloved narrative genres

Build (and gift) your “friendship bookmarks”
A free workshop to learn how to make them

Have you ever received a “friendship bracelet” as a gift? Then you know what it feels like… With the help of Carmelo Romano (@timidalibreriadelriccio), in bookstores for Fabbri with The Water Weaver, now it is time to discover, and learn to create, the “friendship bookmarks,” special bookmarks made of letters and colored beads. Participants in the BFF free workshop will be able to choose whether to form words or simply decorate as they wish. Of course, it is suggested to invite a dear friend to swap the bookmark with you.

BFF 2025

Amelia Hartwell

I write about books the way I read them: slowly, curiously, and with attention to the details that linger after the final page. At Lythrum Press, I cover literary fiction, essays, memoirs and the wider culture of reading, with a particular interest in voices that challenge familiar ways of seeing the world. My work is guided by one simple idea: a good book deserves more than a reaction — it deserves a conversation.
