We are stepping into a new rendezvous for fans of romance novels. The Romance Book Party arrives for the first time at the Campania Libri Festival with the Romance Corner, a space dedicated to the world of romance fiction, publishing, and the new forms of participation and promotion tied to readers’ communities. The event runs from October 1 to 4 in the Courtyard of the Belvedere at the Royal Palace in Naples.
The Romance Book Party, conceived by Sara Menichetti and Valentina Trombetta, founders of SEV Management, is a festival “dedicated to romance fiction in all its manifestations, which has built around the genre an increasingly wide community in Southern Italy,” “going beyond the traditional book signing,” with panels, workshops, presentations and opportunities for dialogue.
The second edition, held on June 6 of this year at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, confirmed this vocation, fostering dialogue between well-known names in romance fiction, fresh voices, and authors who also come from the world of digital platforms. Across the various editions there have been guests, among others, Julia Quinn, Mercedes Ron, Catharina Maura, Laura Steven, Kelly Oram and Casey McQuiston, within programs also dedicated to the relationship between traditional publishing, BookTok, Wattpad, writing and sentimental education.
The Romance Corner will bring to the Campania Libri Festival authors such as Carrie Leighton for Salani, Anna Zarlenga, Elisa Iani, Francesca Pascal and Cheryl for Newton Compton Editori, Estelle Hunt, Alice DC, Bess Young and Floriana D’Amico for Giunti, in addition to Beppe Roncari for Rizzoli,
There will also be space for independent publishers and for the self-publishing world. Among the scheduled events, on Thursday, October 1 at 4:00 PM, is the Gran Ballo Regency, at the Court Theatre of the Royal Palace.
The project will continue beyond the Campania Libri Festival, with the third edition of the Romance Book Party, scheduled for June 12, 2027 at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples.
