Chapter no 4

Destiny Awakened (Destiny Series Book 1)

Kyle

As soon as my eyes met hers and I saw the panic attack flash across her face I knew I would rip apart the world to save her from ever feeling like that again. I could also have punched Liam in the face for not waiting and just slamming the door open. The gold flecked eyes that stared back at me were just about the most beautiful things that I had ever seen. That is if you didnโ€™t count the woman that had them. As she sucked in deep breathes fighting the panic that set in, her breasts heaved and stretched her t-shirt tight. This woman had curves for days and I would give anything to wrap her in my arms and hold her for the rest of my days. When she reopened the door after I knocked again and smiled at me, I knew I was done. My wolf felt like he was slamming into my chest. He wanted her and he wanted her now. No woman had ever made my wolf react at all, let alone like this.

โ€œSo, youโ€™re the halfblood thenโ€ Sykes broke in shattering the moment.

โ€œYeah apparently,โ€ she murmured. My wolf practically rolled over and begged at the sound of her voice. Poor guy was a goner. โ€œMost people just call me Aria thoughโ€ she smiled.

She went to grab the box by my feet but I grabbed it before she could. โ€œDonโ€™t worry Iโ€™ve got it.โ€ She opened the door inviting me in and we all walked in to put the boxes on her desk.

Sykes walked over to the bed and flopped down โ€œSo what are you halfblood?โ€

She looked confused and leaned closer to me surrounding me with her jasmine scent before stage whispering โ€œIs that a trick question?โ€ to me.

I couldnโ€™t help but chuckle. โ€œHe means what magic do you have?โ€

โ€œOh โ€ฆ I donโ€™t knowโ€ she said hopping up to sit on the desk. She crossed her beautiful long legs and leaned back on her hands. By the moon those jeans just clung to her and I itched to run my hands over her thighs. I bet her ass looks amazing in them.

โ€œWhat do you mean you donโ€™t know?โ€ Sykes asked. โ€œDonโ€™t they like test you or something? I heard there was a test.โ€

I looked up and caught Liamโ€™s eye who grinned, pointed at me and then wiped fake drool from his chin.

โ€œYeah it was weird or it didnโ€™t work or something. Gave some impossible result.โ€ She shrugged. โ€œWhat are you?โ€ she asked narrowing her eyes.

Sykes barked out a laugh โ€œThatโ€™s not something youโ€™re supposed to ask sweet cheeksโ€

โ€œYou literally just asked meโ€ she pointed out flatly.

โ€œThatโ€™s a good point. All three of us are shifters. Most of the students here are shifters because the Academy sits close to the pack lands, hence the name, but we do have a few witches and elementals as well. Me and Kyle are wolves and Liam is a panther.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s โ€ฆ actually pretty cool.โ€ She said cocking her head to the side. โ€œSo apart from being able to shift can you like do anything else.โ€

โ€œWhy do you ask?โ€ Sykes shot back โ€œWhat can you do?โ€ He asked raising an eyebrow.

โ€œMe, nothing, what โ€ฆ why do YOU ask?โ€ she was totally lying and quite badly at that. It was completely adorable.

Skyes laughed and rolled his eyes โ€œRiiiigggghhhhtttt โ€ฆ well we were going to grab some food because we got afternoon lessons in an hour. You want to come with and we can show you where it is?โ€

โ€œSure, that sounds good.โ€ She glanced around the room. โ€œDo I need to take anything with me? Money or something?โ€

โ€œNah itโ€™s all covered by the Academyโ€ Sykes laughed.

โ€œOh, good because I donโ€™t know if I have any money any more, can I even use human money here?โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t worry about it everything you need is covered by the Academy and Caleb will sort out transferring any money that you want over hereโ€ I explained to her. Or at least I assumed.

โ€œWho is this Caleb person anyway?โ€ She asked as we walked out of the room and she pulled the door closed behind her.

โ€œHeโ€™s our combat teacher. We have combat lessons two mornings a week. Donโ€™t worry Iโ€™m sure heโ€™ll take it easy on you to start with, you donโ€™t have that in human schools, right?โ€

โ€œNo not normallyโ€ she shrugged.

We walked down to the cafeteria. Lessons had let out a while ago so the corridors were quiet. Everyone else would no doubt be inside already. It was better that she would be coming in with us for the first time. We need to make sure that the other packs know sheโ€™s with us so they donโ€™t start sniffing around. With the way that she looks she wonโ€™t be short of interested parties.
